Regarding decoction, it produce a stronger malt backbone, but I've compared it with adding just a bit more Munich 10, 1.5% melanoidin or honey, and those batches are quite tasty too. In addition to 0,05 g of protein and 0,01 g of salt, this food has 0,5 g of caffeine. This beer has 0,5 grams of sugar and a carbohydrate content of 2.5 grams. This drink contains 136 calories in one 330 ml bottle made with grapefruit and hops. On it's own, batch #1 is like a banana runt with a little bread malt, too dominant on its own. The slight underpitch is to purposefully stress the yeast, within reason (pitch rate slightly below 6ml/million cells), and I haven't gotten diacetyl doing this. I'm actually crazy enough that I split my batches and blend (usually 6-7 gallons wort) into two 3 gallons: one slightly underpitched with about underpitch about 75ml of slurry, let it ramp from 66 to 70 finish to increase the I-A.
